Decorator NVQ
The Decorator NVQ Level 2 assesses working decorators in their normal jobs. Awarded by GQA on the Decorative Finishing pathway, it is the route to the Blue CSCS Skilled Worker card for decorators. It costs £750 fixed with no VAT, typically takes 4–8 weeks with assessment carried out remotely or on site from your normal work — no exams, no classroom, and leads to the Blue CSCS Skilled Worker card.
Qualification Overview
For decorators hanging papers, applying specialist finishes and delivering full decoration packages, this NVQ formally recognises the skills you already use — preparation, application and finishing to a professional standard.
Your assessor builds the evidence from real jobs by photos, witness testimony and professional discussion, remotely or on site, typically inside 4–8 weeks.
