Floor Tiler NVQ
The Floor Tiler NVQ Level 2 assesses working floor tilers in their normal jobs. Awarded by GQA on the Wall & Floor Tiling pathway, it is the route to the Blue CSCS Skilled Worker card. It costs £750 fixed with no VAT, typically takes 4–8 weeks with assessment carried out remotely or on site from your normal work — no exams, no classroom, and leads to the Blue CSCS Skilled Worker card.
Qualification Overview
For tilers laying floor tiles — large-format porcelain, ceramics and stone — this NVQ recognises your existing competence: preparing substrates, setting out, bedding, cutting, grouting and protecting finished floors.
Your assessor gathers evidence from real installations remotely or on site, typically over 4–8 weeks.
