Kitchen Fitter NVQ
The Kitchen Fitter NVQ Level 2 assesses experienced kitchen fitters and installers in their normal work — no classroom, no exams. Awarded by GQA on the Fitted Interiors pathway, it is the route to the Blue CSCS Skilled Worker card for kitchen installation professionals. It costs £750 fixed with no VAT, typically takes 4–8 weeks with assessment carried out remotely or on site from your normal work — no exams, no classroom, and leads to the Blue CSCS Skilled Worker card.
Qualification Overview
The Kitchen Fitter NVQ Level 2 is for fitters who already install domestic and contract kitchens — setting out, fitting cabinets and worktops, finishing and handing over — and need a recognised qualification to prove it. It recognises the competence you use every day rather than teaching you the job.
Evidence is gathered from your real installations: photos and videos of your work, witness statements and a professional discussion with your assessor. Most fitters complete in 4–8 weeks while working normally.
