Level 3 NVQ Qualifications

Level 3 NVQ Diplomas recognise advanced craft and supervisory competence and lead to the Gold CSCS Advanced Craft card.

What is a Level 3 NVQ?

A Level 3 NVQ Diploma proves advanced craft skill or occupational work supervision competence, building on Level 2 experience. It is assessed on-site through a portfolio of evidence and observation of your work, rather than exams.

Who it’s for: experienced tradespeople who already hold, or have equivalent experience to, a Level 2 qualification and are ready to prove advanced craft skills, or those taking on occupational work supervision duties.

How it works: we assign a qualified assessor who reviews your existing work, gathers any additional evidence needed, and carries out on-site observations. Timescales depend on experience and how much evidence is already available.

Where it leads: a Level 3 NVQ supports your application for the Gold CSCS Advanced Craft or Supervisor card, and can lead on to a Level 4 NVQ for site supervision.
