Lift Supervisor NVQ
The Lift Supervisor NVQ Level 4 assesses experienced lift supervisors controlling lifting operations under BS 7121. It leads to the Gold CSCS Supervisor card. It costs £1,200 fixed with no VAT, typically takes 4–8 weeks with assessment carried out remotely or on site from your normal work — no exams, no classroom, and leads to the Gold CSCS Supervisor card.
Qualification Overview
If you supervise lifting operations — directing crane, slinger and signaller teams, checking the lift plan against conditions on the day, controlling exclusion zones and stopping the lift when it is not safe — this qualification formally recognises your competence as a lift supervisor.
Assessment is evidence-based from live lifting operations you supervise, remotely or on site, typically over 6–10 weeks.
