Construction Training Group is recruiting experienced assessors to join our nationwide delivery team. We work across the UK, offer flexible self-employed engagements and route all learner enquiries through our central office. Two roles are currently open.
Day rate from £350 per day
Position 1 · Nationwide
NVQ Assessor – Construction (All Levels)
Carry out workplace and remote assessment for construction NVQs across all levels (2–7), covering a range of trades, supervision and management qualifications.
Requirements:
- Recognised assessing qualification: CAVA, TAQA, A1, or D32/D33
- Occupational competence and relevant industry experience in construction
- Ability to assess construction NVQs across all levels (2 to 7)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to travel to sites nationwide
- Strong understanding of NVQ standards and awarding-body requirements
- Good IND and record-keeping / e-portfolio skills (e.g. Smart Assessor or similar)
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced attention to detail and professional communication with learners

Position 2 · Nationwide
NPORS Assessor – Nationwide
Deliver and assess NPORS categories on site and at test centres nationwide, supporting plant operators through their NPORS testing and card routes.
Requirements:
- Current NPORS assessor / tester accreditation
- Occupational competence in relevant plant categories
- Recognised assessing qualification (CAVA / TAQA / A1) where required
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to travel to sites nationwide
- Valid CSCS / CPCS or approved alternative and current HS&E test
- Sound knowledge of NPORS testing standards and paperwork
- Right to work in the UK
- Reliable, professional and comfortable working independently on site
