Qualification Structure

To achieve this qualification, learners must complete:
✔ Five (5) mandatory units
✔ One (1) optional unit

Assessment is based on National Occupational Standards (NOS), ensuring industry relevance. Learners will be evaluated by a qualified assessor and must compile a Portfolio of Evidence demonstrating their competence in all required areas.

Assessment & Grading

Learners will be assessed through a combination of:

• Workplace observation
• Performance evaluations
• Knowledge assessments
• Portfolio submission

Total Qualification Time & Guided Learning Hours

• Total Qualification Time (TQT): 470 hours (includes independent study, preparation, and practical learning)
• Minimum Guided Learning Hours (GLH): 274 hours (includes direct instruction and supervised assessment)

Career Progression & Industry Recognition

Upon completion, learners will have gained the skills, knowledge, and industry recognition needed to advance in architectural joinery. Further training or experience can support progression into supervisory and management roles within the workplace.
